Description:
San Francisco is the scene of a series of bizarre murders... all the murders have taken place in the victim's closets. A local newspaper editor sends his obituary writer, a Clark Kent-type reporter, to follow up on what he believes to be a routine story. Meanwhile, the murders continue.

When the monster finally decides to come out of the closet, he's caused so much havoc and mayhem that the president declares a national emergency and sends the Army in to destroy it.

Spoofing Superman, King Kong and The Exorcist, among many others, Monster in the Closet is probably the first film to feature a monster with a decidedly alternative sexual preference.


	Qvamp says: I enjoyed this movie, and have entered it as one of the best of the bad. Thoroughly campy, if you really like bad horror movies, this movie is likely for you. The movie never overtly stated that any character is queer. However, it does center upon a monster that reverses the formula -- one that falls for a handsome young lad, rather than a lass. This reversal is very obviously played upon. Not only does the title of the movie suggest a 'not straight' film, but the tagline of the movie 'It's out, it's out, it's out!' goes even further.

No out and out gay content but a lot of (hilarious) subtext.

The monster needs to go back into the closet to survive but all the closets in San Fransisco have been destroyed. Anyway, if he can't go back into the closet without letting go of the handsome reporter.

A surprisingly good cast for a Troma movie including Paul Walker's first film role as 'the professor'.

I do wonder why the main character of the reporter doesn't seem to have had a decent career.
