Description:
A anthology of 17 stories written in the 50s and 60s.

Qvamp says:

The stories include: 'Miss Gentilbelle' involving a man-hating woman who raises her boy as a girl, with disastrous results; and the dystopic 'The Crooked Man' featuring a future where homosexuality is the norm, enforced by law and where fundamentalists hunt down the hetero 'queers'.

'The Crooked Man', very surprisingly, was first published in Playboy in 1955. It draws incredible parallels between this future and the (present) of pre-Stonewall gays and lesbians, including government witch hunts, fundamentalism, and trying to cure a non-existent disease.
