Description:
Outside the college-town environs of Adrian, Michigan, graduate student Meanie Myer stumbles on a For Rent sign - and knows in a heartbeat that she has found her dream house.
You're crazy, declares Ford, Mel's butch buddy. The house is in the middle of nowhere, it's so ramshackle the rafters could come right down around your ears.
Ford doesn't understand that something about this house has beckoned, has reached out, appealing to Mel to lavish on it the care and attention that will restore it to full beauty.
Soon Ford knows for certain that Mel is Crazy. Obsessed with the house, Mel is neglecting her graduate writing program and the opportunity to study under a brilliant teacher. And Mel now claims that there's a presence in the house, a presence that communicates through Mel's computer. A presence named Camille.
Qvamp says: Mel, the main characters discovers her new house already has an occupant - one that has been dead since for almost a century and who wants Mel as her lover. Virtually every character is a lesbian, whether openly so or closeted. |
