Description:
Building on the success of Queer Fear (which won the Queer Horror - Best Short Story award in 2000), Queer Fear II brings 22 new GLBT horror stories.

Qvamp says:

This book had some moments, but it is not as good as the first Queer Fear. A number of the stories were fairly confusing, or were horrifying without actually being horror.

A few that specifically stood out include:

  • 'Bugcrush' by Scott Treleaven

  • 'Gaytown' by Robert Boyczuk

  • 'One of the Boys' by Edo Van Belkom

  • 'Veggie Mountain' by Thomas S. Roche

This stories in this collection won the 2002 Queer Horror award.

This volume is even greater than its predecessor! The stories in this book are more easily accessible to those who may not be of the LGBT community but they are no less queer-oriented.

Where I found most of the pieces in the first volume had their origins in real-life horrors and fears, many of the stories here involved clever qeer twists on conventional, supernatural horror themes.

I really loved this book and I highly recommend it!
