Description:
A family of female werewolves, united by their primitive rituals, runs through the streets of Denver in desperate pursuit of their youngest member, an uninitiated, half-human runaway whose reckless life threatens the survival of the group.

Qvamp says:

While the budding lesbian relationship is referenced directly and leads to a somewhat graphic climax, it is of a very secondary nature to the story.

It is not the most positive portrayals, especially for the time, as the lesbian werewolf is seen as exceedingly ineffective and the lesbian human might be considered somewhat desperate in her pursuit of the werewolf who shows no interest in her.

As is the case for many lesbian horror novels of the time, both of the dykes die a somewhat pointless death. Though this might be considered high praise in this novel, where the straight female werewolves are almost evil incarnate... and the lesbian is merely ineffectual.
