An alternate dimension populated by vampires who cross dimensions to find a cure for AIDS. On her travels, the heroine meets and falls in love with another woman, who is horrified to learn that her mysterious, darkly exotic lover is a vampire.

Not my favorite book. Also, it's amazing how quickly a book about the AIDS epidemic can become dated. Though it is cool that someone did write a book about queer vampires and AIDS this early on in the epidemic.
